The American Prophecies: Ancient Scriptures Reveal Our Nation's Future

MUST-READ FOR AMERICAN JEWS, ESPECIALLY, AND AMERICAN CHRISTIANS, PARTICULARLY!
This book is NOT POP-PROPHESY!That is, it's not simply someone's speculation about the future. It is a very important book and one that should be read and re-read, critically validated through personal research, and judged on this author's past works and future events. If you take this challenge, you will be amazed as I have been!Ultimately, you may not buy into everything the author suggests, but I certainly found validation of his thesis unavoidable.I read Michael D. Evans's "Beyond Iraq" and was very impressed with how he developed that thesis which was, in fact, borne out in actual events. It offered amazing insight into the roots of the turmoil in the Middle East and an uncanny understanding of where these events were heading -- and since have gone.In this book, the author demonstrates exceptional expertise with regard the history of United States' meandering between support or lack thereof for a Jewish Homeland going back many decades -- surprisingly hundreds of years even to the foundation of the United States and why that has been. The author names names and credits those who have stood with moral clarity on the issues. On the other hand, he names names and discredits those who have been opponents or those who talked a good game all the while avoiding action or actively undermining the progress toward or survival of the Jewish Homeland. Then Mr. Evans demonstrates how the historically recorded passage of Scripture upon which various United States Presidents have laid their hand during administration of the Oath of Office have turned out to be prophetic regarding said president -- and not always in the way that President would have hoped. It is amazing to learn which passages George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George Bush and others chose and how those passages proved prophetic indeed. It is also amazing to learn who the real proponents were and are of what has become the State of Israel and who impeded the creation of Israel or jeopardized Israel's existence -- and specifically how they did that!AGAIN, THIS IS A MUST-READ FOR AMERICAN JEWS, ESPECIALLY, AND AMERICAN CHRISTIANS, PARTICULARLY!I say that because the author details specifically how some of our previous leaders have sold Jews and Israel "down the river" while retaining Jewish and Christian political support. He delineates even more specifically how GOD regards the Jewish people and Israel. The author demonstrates how, in the past, those who have blessed the Jewish people and Israel have been blessed as God promised. In like manner, he demonstrates how those who cursed the Chosen People and Israel fared and suggests how those who do not bless, or do in fact curse, the Jewish people and Israel in the future will fare.Bottom line: the author says the handwriting is on the wall, has been, in fact, for a long time -- in the form of a Covenant -- and that that "handwriting" is clearly demonstrated historically.

Reminds People of the Truth
Mike reminds people that there is a God, and that He has made certain promises. God picked Abraham to found a people, the Jews. He brought them out of slavery in Egypt, doing things like parting the Red Sea and bringing many plagues on Egypt. The same God that did this made certain promises to the Jews, the foremost being that He would bless those who blessed the Jews and curse those who cursed the Jews.Just like there is a God, who is the same today as He was back in Biblical times, there is a devil, satan. Satan hates the Jews, because they were picked by God. You should ask yourself, why do people persecute the Jews time and again, trying to do away with them over the last 3,000 years? You don't see anyone trying to do away with the Egyptians do you? You don't see anyone trying to do away with the Greeks?Mike reminds us of the facts in this struggle, with an emphasis on how the United States has been involved. Anyone with a thinking mind should consider if they really want to fight against God, and what He has promised.Mike reminds us that just like the Jews are real, and have promises from God, that Jesus (the Hewbrew name is Yeshua) is also real and has made promises that He will return to rule and reign as Messiah and Lord of all. Mike shows how this is all tied up in the Middle East and Israel. The United States has a choice, does it want to fight against God or join with God and obtain the promised blessings? Likewise, everyone in the United States (and the world for that matter.) has the same choice. When Yeshua returns, do you want to be with Jesus in heaven? or join satan in hell. I don't know about you, but I would rather be in heaven, and I would recommend it to others.

Excellent with a Couple of Blemishes
As a born-again Christian with an interest in bible prophecy for the past 25 years or so, I have read many books, seen many videos, and attended a dozen or more prophecy conferences or speeches. This book is definitely in the Top 10 of essential resources about the bible predictions of last events. Evans gives an unsurpassed summary of how America is (or isn't) in bible prophecies. For one reason or another, America disappears from the end-time stage which is clearly in the Middle East and Europe. The Rapture is one explanation. A devastating attack(s) from the War on Terror could be another. The pullout of Saudi and Asian investments in Wall Street and the U.S. government bond market could be another. Maybe all three. Could be something else. Evans is not dogmatic about any answer but does make the case that the U.S. doesn't seem to be around at the end.Evans also gives the most readable history I have studied about the foundation of the United States and its role in launching the establishment of the nation of Israel. Some might think this history would be as dry as withered leaves but Evans makes it very interesting. Especially strong was a description of each American President since FDR and their varying levels of interest and support in the nation of Israel.A few irritations is that Evans is constantly name-dropping meetings with both former and current political figures throughout the world. I did put up with it because I do think he has the credentials to back those meetings up.The one page in the book which is largely inexcusable is buried in the Appendix in which he provides a list of widely known religious and media personalities whom he calls the "moral glue" of the United States. Many on the list are wonderful citizens, Christians, and used mightily of God. However, some of the people, (in my humble opinion and discernment) are false teachers whose teachings will eventually lead to America's decline and the rise of the One-World church of Antichrist. Particular false teachings represented by this list of individuals include:* The Church-Growth Movement which sacrifices biblical truth and content in the name of unity, numbers, money and square footage. These guys are marrying the church to the society to draw numbers and are absolutely killing the local churches who have to compete with a secular market mentality just to survive. With the church growth philosophy, every church will eventually be the same, just like McDonald's franchises.* Post-Millenialism Theology which tends to deny or downplay the significance of the nation of Israel in God's future plan.* Prosperity Theology: Some people listed clearly promote a "name and claim it", "blab it and grab it" materialism that is uniquely American in today's world and certainly very Laodiocean (Revelation Ch. 3). Probably one reason why God will judge America are some of these guys that Evans praises as the nation's moral glue.* New Age, Healing and Contemplative Prayer ministries which throw away the value of expositional bible studies and godly prayer for the emotional high of feelings and experiences.Very odd that Mike Evans would write a masterpiece book and then announce he admires some notable turkeys. With all Christian books, be a good, discerning Berean (Acts 17:11) in all your studies. Eat the cherries but spit out the pits !! 99 percent of this book is great. Just spit out the pits in the Appendix.
