I have had to replace two of these butterfly charms. In both cases the butterfly came off from the charm. The first time was for my older daughter's bracelet. Over time it just came off. The second time was for my younger daughter's bracelet. She is five and for some unknown reason thought it would be okay to put it in her mouth (on the bracelet) and sort of "chew" on it (like a candy bracelet?). It popped right off. We tried to make it a lesson in respecting our belongings. I ordered a second one for her bracelet and I am hoping that both cases were flukes and that the butterflies won't come off from their charm again. If they do, I don't be repurchasing them.

Definitely cute but it does catch on things at times as it sticks out slightly. However, worth the purchase if you are looking for a cute represenation of your birthstone.
