A sweet little light to brightly illuminate your tent.
We spend a good 30 weekends a year in a tent, and our weekends are typically 4-5 days long as we travel extensively for our budiness and primitive camp at almost every event. I needed a good light to hang from the tent ceiling instead of the unwieldy flashlight and bungee setup we had been using.A friend showed me this product and how well it lit up her tent so I decided it would fit the bill. It is very lightweight and sheds an even light throughout the tent. The low setting will easily last 8 hours and I'm guessing the high setting half that as high is twice the leds of low. The first few times we used it it was dead when we got to the tent at night...it turns out I had it set to turn on automatically at dusk rather than when I turned it on manually, so the battery had discharged. Operator error and no fault of the light. Now when I turn it off I place my hand over the solar panel to be sure its off. If it lights, its on the auto on setting. I wouldn't trust this to be rain proof as it's a simple snap together unit and has no gasket between the bulb and panel portions. If it's sunny I charge it outside the tent. If I expect rain, I charge it on the truck dash. This fits our needs perfectly and is a nice complement to our solar/hand crank lantern bought a couple of years back. I love not having to deal with heavy batteries!

A nice little designer light.
When I first received my S200 about 3 weeks ago, it was dead. I charged it for about 3 hours. The light produced was less than a dim nightlight! I was pretty disappointed. I read the instructions about replacing the battery; I carefully did so, and the light "came to life"! (I guess the original battery is defective as it won't hold a charge.)It is now bright enough that I use it for a bedtime reading light! On the minus side, the switch is a little hard to push which could make it the first thing to go.

Disappointed. Weak light, klunky switch.
Overall very disappointed with this light. The On/Off switch is small and difficult to operate. Additionally, it makes little difference whether you set the switch to "1" or "2", the light output is very dim, suitable for navigating inside a dark house but not bright enough to read by. Thinking the internal battery might not be fully charged, I carefully removed it and charged it in a Maha smart charger and reinstalled it in the light - still too dim to be useful. This unit has one redeeming grace - it will recharge sitting inside on a windowsill pointed toward the Sun and it will do it in a day.If you're looking for mood lighting or an anti toe stubbing light, this might be for you, but personally I'm sending it back.

OVER PRICED FOR A NIGHT LIGHT
I was disappointed. This light doesn't even illuminate enough to light up a small 1/2 bathroom.Bought it because the light socket in the basement bathroom is broken and I thought this would work for my coming party this weekend.Nope.Doesn't do it.In my opinion, it's over priced for what it offers. I'm keeping it in my emergency kit but I wouldn't recommend it at the price I paid for it. I wouldn't recommend it to light an entire room. I'd recommend it as an expensive night light.

There are no instructions, and I don't understand the little black piece cover in clear plastic, I guess it's is a switch. It's 1 on the left, off in the middle and 2 on the right, but I can't move the switch. should it be pushed to the right or left? I don't want to break it.

Great little product! I love it! Does exactly what I had anticipated.
I purchased two models of this solar light. The Sun Energy S240 which has the USB/AC charging option, and this Sun Energy S200 with only a solar charge option. This, the cheaper model, is by far the better performer! Lasts four times as long as his more expensive cousin when both are charged in the same location of sunshine, and both set on the lower light output.I had wanted a couple of these to keep in the yard, and in times of power outages to be able to bring them in and use them as an emergency light source... we had storms last night, and I brought in the S200 and it emitted enough light to make me content with that purchase.

The perfect solution but not durable
I needed some lights for my patio. I bought one and tried it out for a week. Then I bought 3 more. They are hanging on my fence posts. Love the way they come on at dusk and turn off at sun rise.Unfortunately they did not survive the winter. They are not waterproof. So, if you use them for outdoor lighting, be sure to bring them in when it rains or snows.

they did work great and shed a lot of light
I bought these last year, they are not rain proof, they collect water in the white lens and if you dont notice it for awhile they rust out and die, I bought 4 and all are dead this year, they did work great and shed a lot of light, just be sure to remove the lens and empty the water. They are not cheap so keep them dry.
