Nice puzzles for littles
Nice puzzles that seem pretty well made. Would suggest having a plan for in-between-play storage like baggies or something as small children tend to scatter the pieces (as there are a bunch) and end of misplacing themšš

Perfect challenge for my 19 month old/ update 20 months
Melissa and doug puzzles are the best! My son used the first shapes puzzle with the big knobs and mastered it. He also had the color wheel since he was 6 months and has mastered that as well. He knows all his shapes and colors. He needed a challenge. We wanted to expand our colors and work on numbers and some of the alphabet. I supervise when we use these puzzles. Especially the alphabet one. We donāt use it as often as the numbers and the colors because he is only 19 months. He knows how to put the numbers in and sometimes the colors. We havenāt had it for very long. I have no doubt he will master the number and color one by 2 which is when we may work on the alphabet one more. 3 puzzles for like $14. Canāt beat that. I didnāt expect it to be like the first shapes puzzle with the big knobs. I knew that one would be much more sturdy. It kinda makes it more of a challenge being so light weight but a good one. I refuse to buy any puzzles that are not Melissa and Doug. I just love their brand. UPDATE: We received these puzzles on August 5th. By the end of August he has has his numbers and colors puzzles mastered. Then, to our surprise, he mastered his alphabet puzzle in 2 days! That was on Sept. 1st and 2nd. I was shocked. I started with taking all letters out except the top row and added half a row at a time. Once he could put them all in, I added more. While he put them in I made the sound and said the word. Today is Sept. 9th and I can ask him where a letter is and he points to it! If he isnāt sure, I make the sound and he points to the letter! Weāve only had these puzzles for a month. He isnāt talking much yet but, he is so smart! Thanks Melissa and Doug!

great teaching tool
I LOVE this set of puzzles!! My son learned his colors with the fish puzzle, and it was one of the first puzzles he was able to figure out on his own. He likes to 'experiment' by putting the wrong colors together before putting them in the right place. We are working on the numbers now and it's nice that they are so big. Underneath the numbers are the same number of objects (4 mice under the 4) and written beneath the number pieces is the word ('four'). It is very thorough and helpful for teaching. The 'weakest' of the puzzles in my opinion is the alphabet one. There are so many pieces and they're so small and easy to lose. I lost the F so long ago and have no idea where it is. Unfortunately, that means I can't teach that letter because all that is left in the hole is a fish picture (no way to show the F). The letters are also cut out in a way that isn't helpful for them when completing the puzzle (the N is just a square). Since some of the pictures are a little more advanced too (we say 'bug' but I is for 'insect'), it makes the puzzle more difficult. BUT, my son likes to pick up a letter and bring it to me when I'm doing other things and to tell me what it is, so I'm still happy to have it. He only does that with the fridge letters if I'm in the kitchen. This set is a great gift and teaching tool and I totally recommend it.

Durable Melissa and Doug 3 Pack
Great Melissa and Doug 3 pack of big puzzles. My nieces love them and finish them so fast. They are great for quick learning of colors, shapes, numbers, etc. Made super well and love that it is not just one puzzle. Good size for kids to grab the shapes.

Great product!
I am a speech therapist so finding puzzles like these are a gold mind. They are easy to put together and the colors are quite vibrant. They each have a tiny knob on the puzzle to get a better handle of taking them off and putting them back on. I work with children of all ages and they can't get enough of these puzzles. They are quite effective and fun to do. I like the quality of the puzzles. The wood is sturdy and are not flimsy. I use these everyday and they seem to be holding up very well. The only drawback is that these puzzles are a little pricey and the letter puzzles are a bit small to use with children. If they were a little bit bigger I would give these 5 stars. Overall though this is a great product and I recommend them to use with/for children.

Great buy!
Bought this for my grandson. The letters are small and could be a choking hazard for younger children that still put things in their mouth.

Very good tools
Iām very satisfied with the alphabet pegs. It teaches colors, words and letters, also pictures of different items. It teaches coordination when placing the pegs in the correct slot. Itās a fast way to teach the alphabets.

My 2 year old loves these!
I truly believe my son learned his colors because of the fish color puzzle. He even learned, on his own, how to match them with the opposite color. I wish the number puzzle had 10 as my son knows how to count to 10 but none the less, its a great value and your tot will love to play with them! I bought the rack, too, so it helps keep them organized and my son can easily pick the one he wants to play with.

The Melissa & Doug Classic Wooden Peg Puzzles (Set of 3) - Numbers, Alphabet, and Colors are a fantastic addition to my home for when my 2-year-old granddaughter comes over to play! These puzzles are not only beautifully crafted with vibrant colors and sturdy wooden pieces but also provide valuable learning opportunities for toddlers. As she engages with the puzzles, she's not just having fun but also developing essential cognitive skills like fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, and early literacy and numeracy concepts. Plus, the pegs make it easy for her little hands to grasp and manipulate the pieces. It's wonderful to see her excitement and sense of accomplishment as she completes each puzzle. I highly recommend this set to any grandparent looking for a fun and educational toy to share with their little ones!
