Nice looking, color is as pictured
Nice looking, color is as pictured; worn for 7 days, great so far. I spent 3 days putting it under lights and in sunshine to get it started (instant start feature) without success. However, I finally figured out that it was shipped with the stem pulled out and thus, the watch was inoperative. Too bad the manual/instructions didn't mention that. I pushed it in, and it started right up. Also, the instructions don't say how to adjust the band by removing links. It's easy enough without buying a tool, but I had to search the internet to find out how. Not all Seiko bands are the same though. For the SNE044, pick a link with an arrow, and using a very small screw driver or paper clip wire, tap & drive the link pin out in the direction of the arrow through the hole on the outside of the link. I removed 5 of them for a good fit. The ends of the pin are slightly different, make note of the orientation upon removal (one is more rounded and shiny) and reinstall the pin from the opposite link end so that it ends up in the same direction as originally installed.

Excellent Buy
I love this watch, really beautiful and expensive looking. I was skeptical at first, but this turned out really good. Also, easy to adjust day and time with one button pulled in two different length. It is very well made and after 30 days, time is still upto the second. I would buy this for a gift.

I bought this Seiko Men's SNE044 for an inlaw who lives in the tropics as a Christmas present. I chose this solar watch because it is said to never need a battery. It should be very suitable for use in an environment where sunshine is abundant. My inlaw has praised it effusively as classy and a watch for a man his age. And so I give it five stars.

Reflected light off the black background results in a medium gray color that looks awful and obstructs viewing of the time.
I returned this watch after looking at it for two days. I hated the reflection of the light off of the black background. The reflected light was a medium gray color. It looked awful and it made it difficult to see the time on the watch. I returned this watch and bought the Seiko Men's SNE036 Gold Tone Solar Champagne Dial Watch. The champagne color is a beautiful soft gold color. I was really happy to see that there is far less light reflection (practically none) off the champagne color background than there is off my 15-20 year old gold colored Seiko watch.

Not as excited now that it's died....
Really nice looking watch! The finish is smoother and brighter than the photos show; closer to shiny gold. Heavy watch, smaller face than the "looks-like-you're-wearing-your Dad's-watch" that seems to be so popular. I would call it a man's dress watch, not casualor everyday. Timekeeping is right there with my wave-ceptor Casio for accuracy.10/5/15 One problem that I've noted on line and experienced with my own Seiko solar watch is that the power cell goes bad in far too many of their solar powered watches. Seiko uses a power cell or capacitor instead of the usual battery found on non-solar watches. Seiko has a continuing problem with their power system going bad. Seiko lets you pay the freight when you return one of their watches for warranty work; $18.75 it what it just cost me. To be fair I've also had to return a Citizen Eco-Drive for a similar problem....maybe replacing batteries is thebetter option?

Great gold watch!
This watch looks and feels great! Been wearing it for over a month and it's very comfortable on your wrist and proportionally great for my arm. I love that you do not need to charge it in the sun for too long, I had it in direct sunlight for about 3-4 hours and it has been working great ever since then (2 weeks ago!) so I have no complaints about the watch so far. One minor thing is that the hour and minute handle are the only ones that light up in the dark, would be way nicer if each hour marker would light up too.Overall, I'm happy with the watch and it looks great and expensive(!) when I wear it.

Great Looking Men's Watch!
Very rich looking with the combination of muted and shiny gold. The crystal is protected on the sides by metal. This one replaced an older version that lasted almost 19 years. While the original had more muted areas, they are both great looking men's watches. We expect this one to last for years...and being solar you don't have to replace the battery every year or so. Excellent watch and price!

Only for bright lights.
It's a nice looking watch, but the solar feature just doesn't cut it unless you are exposed to bright light most of the time. If you spend some time doing things like working on a computer or watching television, anything where the light is subdued, the inbuilt battery will run down and it will quit working. In my case a battery powered watch is a much smarter choice.

Love my watches, this has been my best watch Ever, looks great, gold faded over time as I wear always and I have damaged glass face with outdoor work, scratches and dent's, but time accuracy has been unbelievably exceptional, Having difficulty looking for replacement.

Keine Probleme, schöne Uhr
Trage die Uhr seit zirka 2 Monaten regelmäßig, habe keine Probleme gehabt mit der Batterie wie von manchen anderen Käufern erwähnt wurde.Die Uhr wurde auch 2 Wochen in Südostasien getragen und hat ohne Beschwerden unter unüblichen Bedingungen super funktioniert.Die goldene Farbe in Kombination mit der guten Verarbeitung wirkt sehr hochwertig und nicht "billig" wie ich es anfangs befürchtet habe.Das einzige was möglicherweise bestimmten Kunden missfallen könnte ist die englische Wochentags-Beschreibung, für mich stellt dies aber kein Problem dar.Ich bin sehr zufrieden :)

Beautiful, well-made watch
Beautiful, well-made watch. Perfect for either casual or dress wear. Keeps time and date perfectly so far. No problems with the solar powered aspect which had me a bit sceptical at first. Generally a great watch. I would definitely purchase similar Seiko products in the future. Well worth the price which is quite reasonable for a time piece of this quality.

Diese sehr schöne und elegante Herrenarmbanduhr ist preiswert und besitzt mit Datum und Wochentagsanzeige die wichtigsten Funktionen. Sie ist gut ablesbar und funktioniert mit ihrer Solarzelle hervorragend. Mit ihrem Durchmesser von 37 mm ist sie bestens geeignet für Leute mit nicht so starken Armen und die Höhe ist auchnoch akzeptabel.
