Great, sturdy set!
This is a very nice bow and arrow set. My daughter has been pretending to shoot arrows with a makeshift bow ever since seeing a real set at the store and she loves it!It's easy to assemble. Doesn't come with instructions. At least ours didn't, but you really don't need them. The bow is sturdy. Definitely doesn't feel chintzy. The set comes with six arrows and a speed loader type thing, which is neat but doesn't appear to work all that great. Though, in its defense we've only played around with it a little. The arrows are also sturdy. The ends of the arrows are a soft rubber that squish on contact. Short distances wouldn't hurt if one got hit with the arrow.I'm extremely happy with this set. If you want a toy bow and arrow set, I highly recommend this one!

Way More Fun Than The Boy's Bow
I looked at the bows for boys but they all shoot the darts. The arrows have better accuracy and range. I bought this for work. I caught grief for the colors until someone got hit all the way down the hallway and in their office. Now there are 12 on our for alone. Good fun!

Rebel, Children! (And Interested Adults)
I'm with the lovers of this bow..., I, and my kids, uh, love it! Easy to use, the sight does help me a bit, and tough. Has been accidentally stepped on, dropped, and kicked. Sometimes the arrows fall out of the quiver, but we just pile them on the ground anyway. Shoots a good distance with whistling action. My husband shot me, close to our stray cat, and empty soda cans. Kids shot each other with no pain, and an empty plastic pot. Practice so that you can fetch dinner!

Looks really cool, works well enough - except for the quiver (which is an absolute disaster!).
Great looking and solid feel. My skinny 6 year old struggles a bit to pull it back under control, but I expect that will come with time. Arrows seem "soft and safe" and fly with an impressive velocity. That quiver thing though...YUCK! A few key problems, but bottom line is that you won't end up using the quiver because:1. It's big and bulky2. It does not hold the arrows well, causing them to fall out and slide everywhere3. the key "loading" feature is broken too (see point #2)4. The trigger to activate the loading is RIGHT where the kids hands are, so inadvertent arrows drop into the line of fireOtherwise though, pretty cool little set. Gave it 3 stars because "it's ok" is exactly how I feel about this product.

Best toy bow and arrow set
I got this for my 9 year old daughter. She loves it. It's pretty cool. I like how the part that holds the arrows spins and drops an arrow down for faster shooting. My older daughter does real archery and my 9 yr old always wants to do everything she does. This is perfect. It's pretty darn accurate for a toy. Just be careful if you choose to push one of the arrows on to your temple forming a suction and causing it to stick. I did this and the suction left a bruise lol.

Neat bow, but not without it's flaws.
Overall I like this bow, but it is a little frustrating at times with the rotating quiver. On the quiver: The way the quiver holds the arrows is very delicate. On many occasions after carefully loading the quiver I would knock them out when moving around. Just reloading can be frustrating because they can be knocked out so easily. Also, occasionally when hitting the trigger, it would drop two arrows instead. On using the bow: Once the quiver is loaded, with a little practice, the rate of fire is pretty good. The arrows are dropped in, and you must nock it yourself; it doesn't put it on the string for you. One thing to note is the bow must be held horizontal when clicking the trigger, otherwise the arrows can fall out the front of the bow. I hadn't had that happen to me, but it happened to more than one of my coworkers that tried this bow for the first time. Also, when two arrows were dropped from the above mentioned quiver issues, my coworker shot two at a time and it worked surprisingly well.On the parts of the bow: The bow comes in 3 parts: The rotating quiver, and the bow in two parts connected by the string. I haven't tried to take apart the bow after assembling it. The quiver can be removed by removing the two screws in the front (but be careful because the insides can fall out). The dark purple parts that look like pulleys are a cover for the ends of the bungee cord that have a metal crimp and a plastic stopper on it. It seems that if you need to replace the bungee cord, it would be very easy to do so.I had removed the rotating quiver to see if I would like the bow better without it. The quiver does help overall, so I will be putting it back on, but I will be looking into some way of securing the arrows in the quiver better.

Very good toy!
My 6 year old girl loves it and I do too. It's really well engineered. The arrows really drop into place when the trigger is pulled, although the bow has to be held level. It can shoot very gently or hard, close-up or far away. The arrows whistle as they fly and seem durable enough.

Good looking, but several design flaws
Very disappointing Nerf bow. Of course I understand that for this kind of product, style and fancy add-ons are very important to marketing - I just wish they didn't impede function!1. The bow is unnecessarily heavy on the outside curve, which is not ideal for children at the beginning of the age range. The designers could have done away with a lot of the plastic that adds weight without helping accuracy. Specifically, the arrow dispenser is too bulky and pops off every now and then, despite clicking it into place correctly. The shooting cage is too large and does nothing for precision.2. The arrows bend too easily and once bent, of course, their course is flawed.3. However - my daughter loves the colors and is excited to have a Nerf item like her brothers! We will look for a simpler bow with a more functional design for next time.
