Great little machine
Perfect for the price, I had an issue where it wasn’t pulling a vacuum after the third go. If you have this issue press down the pressure release valve just by placing a finger on it and that will resolve the issue. I think after I pulled it up (to allow air back in and release it) that it didn’t go down correctly. Not really a product problem as I should have been more attentive and it works great for the price so 5 stars from me. Definitely worth the purchase.

It's OK
Took a bit of trial and error but finally got the knack. Works OK. Give time after sealing to vacuum seal again or element will be too warm. Instead of vacuum sealing it will just seal the bag making vacuuming impossible. Limiting functionality but good for the basics.

What a great little gadget
This was a gift, but I've read the other reviews and some I agree with others I don't.This is great for some like me who lives alone and cooks for one in that it lets me store surplus food for later use even freezing. Therefore I no longer have to fiddle around trying to adjust recipes. Usually when you cook and then try to freeze the extra portions you loose a lot of the taste when you reheat, regardless of how you do it. With the vacuum sealing of this little machine that doesn't happen so much. I like to cook from scratch as ready meals always seem to have to much salt in them or are to sweet. Plus I know whats in it.I've found this very easy to use with the bonus of being able to dictate just how much air is sucked out by hitting the vacuum button a 2nd time once started. So some foods don't get squashed or crushed like they would if you let the vacuum take it's full course. You do ofcourse have to press the seal button to finish the process. The clips at each end have only been a problem once and that was because I forgot to pull the vacuum release button and they wouldn't release properly. Now I tend to give it a moment or two before I attempt to release them and it works everytime. It's a learning curve.I was given two extra rolls of the sealing bag material at the same time. One is extra wide and the other the same width as the larger bags that came with the machine. This is great as it means I can be very flexible on the size of things I want to preserve. I can cut then to what ever length I need, seal one end, add the contents, then seal or vac and seal the other end.I used it for cooked rice, curry, soup, fresh meat and so on, as well as dried goods into seperate portions that will stay fresh for later. I also use it to store fresh cut herbs from my garden for use when not in season. In the summer I'm hoping to use it for my own grown fruit and veg rather than have to give some away because there's no room in the freezer. I'm sure I'll find other uses for it that aren't food related as well.I don't know how this compares to other more expensive machines, but it does all I need it to do and am very thankful to the person who gave it to me. I love it.

Broken already
I’ve still got some of the original bags, so this has been used maybe 8 times and it’s already not working… super disappointed, it just doesn’t vacuum at all. 0/10 would not recommend

It is only £20, and it does work.
Vacuum is a bit weak. Worked fine for two years but then broke. Only Went through two vacuum sealer rolls in that time, so I wasn't using it super often.

A great way to save food
A great way to save food ,I live on my own and if I buy food that I am not going to eat all at once I can use the vacuum sealer and so that will save for a good while in the fridge or I can put fresh food in the bags vacuum bags to stop it getting freezer burn . They great for other users I tell all my family and friends especially the ones who are on their own and what a great price it was.
